about

It's the journey that counts right? But is it a journey if you already know where you're going? Let's take a derive! I'd really say it's not much different from a stroll.

Someone said, maybe it was Sun Ra, but someone said, "The possible has been tried and failed, now it's time to try the impossible," Ok it was Ra but I doubt that's the exact phrasing. I bring it up because a stroll through what you know is possible, and so is a stroll through what you don't know BUT knowing what to expect on that walk, if you know that already you're not really in the unknown. Not even Sherlock Holmes can predict what he'll encounter on that stroll through the unknown. If he could he'd be bored.

And I bring all of this up because I want to let you know that I slowed some things down this week. Sometimes you take a quick journey, you run through it boom bam boom and it's over. And later, you're able to recollect in tranquility, which often allows for a slower experience of the thing, what was between the impossible-to-not-attend-to boom bam booms? So this week we get into this, there's some real stretching out. I'm noticing, at least with track 2, it turns an effervescent enthusiasm for moving dexterously across the keyboard, into an exercise video, where a comical confidence strenuously leads the way without ever tiring and so you shouldn't tire either, getting tired is the point of this workout. You'll hopefully discover during it that laughter is the only way you'll make it to the end. Marcel and Eric helped me with this one, and I love it. Their participation makes me feel not so all alone.

Speaking of Eric, he also makes some tastefully subtle appearances on track 3, see if you can tell what is him!

I think it's important to find ways to slow down.
