This album is deep dive after deep dive inward. Ever used the convert melody to midi function on Ableton? convert harmony to midi? It's pretty fascinating to see how the computer interprets guitar parts, reminds me of John Cage-like chance operations. I'd input some data, see what the computer spit out, and do my best to wrangle it into something that drapes over the brain, like rayon over a torso. It frequently felt insane, which is what kept me interested. Insane/decentering. A mad dash to connect incomprehensible dots into a picture that made me grin if not smile.
